One could pay more, but do no better than a Beretta Silver Pigeon over/under for upland game. That one can buy such a simple, refined, and virtually unchanged for decades firearm, is a small but wonderful comfort in a chaotically changing world. As with hunting itself, we can be transported back to the most elemental experience of nature, and human existence.

Beretta and Holland & Holland flank St James St London, armed guardians at the gate of luxe. B/C/U, I first checked Beretta, then H&H; arch Anglitude. That loden green woolen vest with soft yellow windowpane? Check. Took a while to snag the Land Rover, and the engine needed rebuilding within the month. I knew what I was walking into, and I remember every word of this review, especially the bridal registry. Fuuuucking genius.

Roll over, Hemingway.

I immediately thought of this scene from Joe Versus the Volcano by John Patrick Shanley.
