Can't believe you worked with Coppola and I love that he was a gentleman (and urged you to eat!). Any man who isn't a #Metoo motherfucker now seems like a paragon of virtue. Can't believe Lansing was such a bummer. Damn! I read "Is That a Gun in Your Pocket?" and decided she was one of my heroes. No more! That WAS the height of coldness, not applauding FFC's extraordinary effort. Rude! And shitty. Hollyweird!
OH MY GODDESS -- how is it that I didn't know this story (from the grapevine, etc.)??? Even in its truly infernal spectacle, its miseries, its unexpected grotesquerie (well that would be Sherry Lansing -- not my experiences or impressions of her, but I have NO DOUBT she was fully capable of creating her own kind of hell-frozen-over, wherever the room), it's absolutely GLORIOUS. We already have your "Fear and Clothing" (how did the style/fashion world ever manage without it??). It would be so wonderful to have a picture not only written by you, but DIRECTED by you! Maybe even STARRING you. (Well Sandra B eventually filmed "Without You I'm Nothing"...) How did I not know that without your substack newsletter I, too, would be -- okay maybe not 'nothing', but that much more miserable. Love this. xox
Awesome and sharp-eyed and sharp-tongued and hilarious as always, CW. Glad to have rediscovered your writings in this corner of the 'net. Please never stop.
slaying me like the tall lady from game of thrones but without the apologetics

I mean to keep being a total bummer after Francis practically bled out - it was such a bully play. He is a paragon of virtue!
a lovely story!
Why thank you Mr. Kirk! Is that you, oh lone guitarist?
Yes, 'tis I. I hope you are doing well. I enjoy reading the text as I listen to the audio. Is that weird?

Thank you so much Ezra! I keep plugging away, something will stick eventually!
Another kickass story! But, Molotov Marylin is fucking genius.
Crikey, thanks man!
Great piece. Wow!

Truly amazing how much story, adventure and experience Cintra packs into 9 min of audio.
