Thanks for the post of an article I utterly missed first time round! Can confirm: "Letterkenny" is my favorite show of all time - it's at once SO wrong and yet so refreshingly uncynical, so lowbrow and so highbrow, so filthy and so feminist.
Thoughts on "Shoresy"? I love it *almost* as much.
I'm not sure whose thoughts on "Shoresy" you're soliciting, but my own thoughts on "Shoresy" are, essentially, just hearts: heart after heart after heart after heart.
I was skeptical about it, but I came to love it more, better, and more better than I love "Letterkenny." I will not tell you how many times I have watched the show, but we're into the double digits, at least for the first two seasons. "Shoresy" has my whole heart, for all time.
Oh...and since this piece was written prior to Season 10..."Prostate" contains possibly the funniest scene to date. I'll avoid any meaningful spoilers but note simply that it involves Tanis explaining a Pap smear.
You didnt just sell me on a show, you turned back time about four decades to a week I spent on a sailboat with a father and son pair who drank and sparred continually in the way you describe: “to vivisect each other with almost Shakespearean invective (if Shakespeare had been drunk, Canadian, and a survivor of several concussive jet-ski accidents).” It was a wonderful week, It was a horrible week, he says, pretending he's Dickens.

Amazing show and so is Shoresy (about to drop another season)! 💕 The writing is so tight-my personal favourite episode is the potato chip one, who has so many in-jokes for us Canucks.

Well I loved Trailer Park Boys for the same reasons....but this sounds much deeper. A must watch for me. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
Never saw Letterkenny (haven't watched TV since 1977) but as I've mentioned previously, this is some of the best writing east of Alpha Centauri.
